Stormtracker 16's FutureRadar is a state-of-the-art system for
displaying future weather patterns. Twice each day, weather data is run through a
high-speed computer which creates a forecast for hundreds of locations across
Pennsylvania. This data is then plotted on a map using colors that make it look like a
radar image. We do this for 45 different times, each map representing a different
half-hour. Then we place these maps in sequence to create FutureRadar.
